This website is a scream.

Slow to post

I've been slow to post these past few weeks because of the remodeling project. As of now all the furniture has been delivered except for the TV console (so the living noon is for the most part useless). Now we are busy with final details like quarter round molding that had been removed years ago when the wall to wall carpet was put in. We are also replacing the fireplace mantle. The old one was covered with about ten layers of paint so I am making a new one that will be natural oak. Last weekend we bought a carpet (picture to come). all this and still no one has been killed in the process.

The other day I emptied out our trusty and well used shop vac that was full of all kinds of dust and debris from our remodeling efforts. The outside of the vacuum was very dusty so I turned on the vac to clean itself. It occurred to me that this was somewhat masturbatory. What would my Mom say if she caught me doing this.

Milestone reached

An important milestone was reached this week in the on going saga that is the home remodeling. Yesterday was the beginning of hardwood floor resurfacing and it only took almost two and 1/2 months to get here. Next week - new furniture delivery. Stay tuned.
